The use of weather as a weapon might sound farfetched but, if military reports are to be believed, it is not only feasible, it may already be happening.
As we face unprecedented upheavals in our weather patterns we are being told that they are due to “Global Warming” or “Climate Change”. By changing our carbon footprint, another buzzword for the age, we can change our world. Even better, let’s implement a carbon tax so that someone, somewhere, can make big money from the scheme.
Is our release of carbon into the earth’s atmosphere really to blame for the dramatic change in weather patterns, or could the blame lie with a form of unprecedented human intervention?
Through the combined operations of the US Navy and Air Force in conjunction with the University of Alaska, a prototype for a ground based weapon system has been created which is able to beam more than 1.7 gigawatts of radiated power into the ionosphere (the electrically charged layer above Earth’s atmosphere) causing electromagnetic waves to bounce back to earth. HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is connected to the “Star Wars” Strategic Defence Initiative and was created under the pretext of altering the ionosphere to improve communications. HAARP patents are owned by Raytheon Corporation along with the US Air Force and British Aerospace Systems (BAES).
Military documents state its purpose more plainly – HAARP intends to “exploit the ionosphere for Department of Defense (sic) purposes.” The long-term effect of this experimentation is unknown and could possibly prove to be catastrophic. The document, drawn up in 1990 by the the Federation of American Scientists, creators of the atomic bomb, states:
Offensive abilities could provide spoofing options to create virtual weather in the enemy’s sensory and information systems, making it more likely for them to make decisions producing results of our choosing rather than theirs. It would also allow for the capability to mask or disguise our weather-modification activities.
The document projects 2025 as a time when the understanding of the “chaos theory” by the scientific body might have advanced sufficiently for weather prediction and manipulation to take place but, undoubtedly, experimentation is already far advanced.
Ionospheric heaters apparently operate safely in various places throughout the world including Norway and the former Soviet Union, but according to a government document issued in 1990 HAARP’s radio frequency powers will drive the ionosphere to unnatural activities. One result for the military would be an inexpensive defence shield, but there are other spinoffs, some of them obviously beneficial.
HAARP would provide a replacement for the ELF submarine communication system. It would replace the over-the-horizon radar system with one that is more accurate and flexible. HAARP could also be used to wipe out communications over a very large area while protecting the communication system of the military. Detection of incoming low-level planes and cruise missiles, a geophysical tool to find oil, gas and mineral deposits are also among its more benign uses. But, for good or otherwise, it also has the ability to alter weather patterns at will.
Using nanotechnology which was still in its experimental stage in 1996 the military document stated:
“Nanotechnology also offers possibilities for creating simulated weather. A cloud, or several clouds, of microscopic computer particles, all communicating with each other and with a larger control system could provide tremendous capability. Interconnected, atmospherically buoyant, and having navigation capability in three dimensions, such clouds could be designed to have a wide-range of properties. They might exclusively block optical sensors or could adjust to become impermeable to other surveillance methods. They could also provide an atmospheric electrical potential difference, which otherwise might not exist, to achieve precisely aimed and timed lightning strikes. Even if power levels achieved were insufficient to be an effective strike weapon, the potential for psychological operations in many situations could be fantastic.”
By building this unnatural ionospheric heat, instabilities and imbalances are being created in the ionosphere sending masses of tiny, high velocity particles into our environment. These highly charged particles in the radiation belts surrounding the earth are instrumental in causing the weather disruptions, earthquakes and volcanic action as the earth seeks to discharge the build-up of heat.
In the book, Angels Don’t Play This HAARP, Dr. Begich explains. “… this invention provides the ability to put unprecedented amounts of power in the Earth’s atmosphere at strategic locations and to maintain the power injection level, particularly if random pulsing is employed, in a manner far more precise and better controlled than heretofore accomplished by the prior art ….” [Page 28]
“…from this northern latitude, (Gakona, Alaska) the energy could be aimed into the ionosphere so that it would bounce back down to the earth so it would come down wherever the scientists wanted it to come down. The secret was to learn how and where to aim it to hit the earth where they wanted it to hit, creating the type of disaster or weather they desired.”
In one instance it was claimed that a hurricane was created by a Russian weather modification company to clear the smoke and fog from cities in Malaysia. It was directed offshore and succeeded in attaining its mandate.
According to this same source, the path of hurricanes over the oceans can be directed. Which of course begs the question, if this technology is available to military scientists, why were hurricanes Andrew and Sandy allowed to make landfall in the USA?
The manipulation of weather as a weapon would, of course, be invaluable for military purposes. The production cost of nanotechnology is inexpensive in comparison with other weaponry, and deliberate and strategic attack could be undertaken without the apportioning of blame.
Chinese authorities attempted to blame the US for the earthquake which struck China shortly before the Olympics in 2008 and Iran made a weak attempt at taking glory for Hurricane Sandy last week. Hardly anyone one regarded either statement seriously but perhaps those in high places know something that we lesser mortals don’t!
As one considers the potential of HAARP, there is room for debate. One of the stated intentions of those scientists involved in the work is to use weather as a weapon – perhaps one of the deceptions that go along with that is the claim that climate change is the result of something else!
One thing I can guarantee, weather patterns will continue to change for the worse – and HAARP is unlikely to take the rap!
