Review by Dem Kambouris – 5 Dec 2018 – Updated: 23 Feb 2019.
Whether the method of how it happened may be described as coincidence, mystery or providence, a provocatively interesting book came into my possession to read and to return. I found it to be intensely deep and challenging.
I am delighted to have this experience.
The title is OPUS DEI authored by Lyn J. Pickering (2011), and as at 2018 she has written several other books.
She lives in Hilton, KwaZuluNatal.
There are two elements of authorship that project strongly to my sense of comprehension.
The author’s vast and rich vocabulary that creates the emotionally stirring living conditions and the mysteriously dangerous theme. Secondly, the skill of interlacing the revelations of the journalist’s investigation with the degenerate intentions and also with obvious links to actuality.
The book depicts the lesser-known influences which are subtle, conspiratorially manipulative and threatening, that drive the course of nations, people and the entire world through the ages.
It threads the dangerous collaboration of powerful figures, religious, financial and secular, as they weave their subversive web between allies, enemies, religions and politicians that has the ultimate objective of enslaving the world towards total control.
The following extracts, from the book, of statements and references are a hint of the actual backdrop against which the storyline is imposed.
- Winston Churchill (1920)
“From the days of Sparticus-Weishaupt (who founded the secret order of the Illuminati on May 1, 1776) to those of Karl Marx, to those of Trotsky, Rosa Luxembourg (Germany) and Emma Goldman (United States), this worldwide conspiracy for the overthrow of civilisation and for the reconstitution of society on the basis of arrested development, of envious malevolence, and of impossible equality, has been steadily growing.
It played a definitely recognizable role in the tragedy of the French Revolution. It has been the mainspring of every subversive movement during the nineteenth century: and now at last, this band of extraordinary personalities from the underworld of the great cities of Europe and America have gripped the Russian people by the hair of their heads, and have become practically the undisputed masters of that enormous empire.” - Craig S. Karpel Cartergate: The Death of Democracy.
“The presidency of the United States and the key cabinet departments of the federal government have been taken over by a private organization dedicated to the subordination of the domestic interests of the United States to the international interests of the multinational banks and corporations.
It would be unfair to say that the Trilateral Commission dominates the Carter Administration. The Trilateral Commission is the Carter Administration.” - Mayer Amschel Rothschild 1743 – 1812
“Give me control of a nation’s currency and I care not who makes its laws”.
The story is centred in Lebanon as the focal point of the Middle East’s unsolvable conflict situation that always impacts the world, and the plot moves frequently into the international arena.
It develops around the character, an investigative journalist and his family, as they try to live their private lives and also as they interact with actual and characterized politicians, financiers and religious figures.
The events and experiences as described in the narrative are directly applicable to historical and present time actuality, as uncanny or bizarre as this may seem.
As a very small sample of this astounding yet inescapable reality are the following summaries:
In the seventies, OPEC countries were encouraged to drive the oil price up and the sales were guaranteed, as long as the profit was invested in certain American banks. These banks created holding companies that in turn loaned Arab money to Third World countries.
The same people who have controlling interest in these prime banks, hold controlling interest in the major oil companies. The outcome is rising interest rates and deepening recession. The developing
countries see their exports begin to fall while the import price of oil and interest payments rise dramatically, resulting in debt crises and international evil influences.
These and other manipulations are orchestrated by the financiers to expand their malevolent greed and in the process to mercilessly pawn religions, social orders, national and international interests.
They found that currency or loan deposit accounts had the required appearance of power that could be used to induce people into surrendering their real wealth in exchange for a promise of greater
wealth. They would put up real collateral in exchange for a promissory note as long as it was backed by someone’s stock of gold as a persuader.
Such promissory notes are loaned to individuals and to governments, creating a sense of overconfidence. Then they tightened the controls and collected the collateral. This cycle could be used to ignite religious conflict and wars, civil and international, and the availability of currency could determine who would win the war.
The government that gave them charge of its economic system gained their support. Collection of debts was guaranteed by economic aid to the enemy of the debtor.
Simultaneously, self-anointed and dishonourable so-called religious leaders sidle into the web of corruption and apply their own malicious plans for their ill-conceived and wicked purpose that has the similar objective of enslaving people.
The ultimate goal of these autocrats and power-hungry politicians was to create a socialist world order under one single leader.
Social engineering required new improved weapons.
These were to be found in the high speed computerized technology that is used to control humans, and in the data processing system that could race ahead of society and predict when it would be ready for capitulation.
The solution in current problems required a ruthlessly candid approach; there would be no agonizing over religious, moral or cultural values.
Concepts of truth and morality were dishonoured to the extent that it threatens the pillars of ethics, with the intention to corrupt the accumulated wisdom and expertise of the world population to the point where they are suckered to accept banal and irrational beliefs, all aimed by the tyrants at the crazed drive towards ruthless dictatorship.
The callous pursuit progressed to the point where the depraved goal was finally achieved and it endured for a relatively short period during which the populace became virtual slaves.
Until a small dissident group initiated by the hero (the journalist) of the story started to agitate discreetly, growing in support and corresponding boldness and eventually reaching a point of no return.
The book ends at that point and leaves a feeling that a portentous sequel would result.
Personal observation:
Taking a reflection of the actual historically substantiated series of world events and concomitant leaders over the past decades, indeed centuries, and superimposing that image on the OPUS DEI backdrop, the coincidence is horrifically ominous.
The frightening levels of mass migration, resurgence of nationalism, religious bigotry, cruel intolerance, and the ever-increasing rate and size of national, state and cultural divisions throughout the world are like historical fault lines, seeming to shape our world into the future. These fault lines exist right now and they are authenticated by published reports.
A bird’s eye view of the subtle backdrop described in this book, focuses on the apparently unstoppable world confusion that is exacerbated by the deliberate exploitation of the social media.
Probably, the most critical lesson that appears to be prompted by the work can be described as follows:
There is a clear thread of centralized influence running through all world events over centuries that has been orchestrating these events. References point to secret organizations such as the
ILLUMINATI, and KNIGHTS OF MALTA, and more recently the undisguised Trilateral Commission and related structures. Their reported goal is the introduction of a New World Order.
The fundamental life principles and guidelines established since the beginning of humanity are continually dishonoured and re-proven at great cost;
The fundamental principle of life is deliberately corrupted and humanity seems to be indoctrinated to accepting such moral turpitude;
People do not learn that they don’t learn!
Extract from my own memoirs (or book-in-progress : LEADERSHIP – REALITY IN COMPLEXITY © 2015) –
“GOVERNMENT – THE CONUNDRUM?
For centuries governments take control of their people’s lives;
And their motivation is always the same – fewer costs; greater efficiency;
But the result is the same too – less control by the people; more control by the state; and more damage.
MORAL: Motives never alter the facts.”
